Gas Tank

Gas Tank
I've been having some trouble with my car recently. Whenever I go around a turn when my tank is less than half full my car stalls out. If I pump the gas it comes back on and everything goes back to normal. I took my car into the shop to get it inspected and was told that the baffle is bad in the tank. Is that something that I can fix or is it just cheaper to buy a new tank with sending unit?
My gas gauge hasn't worked since I got the car. Would the new sending unit fix this?
I saw a tank at 50resto for 180 with the pump and grommet and stuff.

They also sell a kit for all the hardware. Is this something I would need or can I reuse my old stuff?

Car is an 87 GT with an AOD.
Any help is appreciated.

The baffle is not repairable unless you take the tank apart. Something you probably don't have the tools/equipment to do. So yes, you need a new tank. Ground the sending unit wire for the gas gauge, if it registers, you need a new sending unit.
The tank kit does not include the pump, read a lil closer. Looks like a good buy though. I think the old mounting hardware should be fine. I would get a new filter for sure though.
