Default need help setting STOCK valves (not roller rockers)

i just put new lifters in an sum haven't filled up with oil yet (even tho i soakd them all night an a day) and i need to set my valves but i have stock valves and from what i hear i set to zero lash then another 1/2 turn, but is there some way to lock the bolt? roller rockers use an alan to lock the bolt after it's set so it doesn't rattle loose or lose its setting... is there a way to do that with stock valves? i appreciate the help my first rebuild an im so close to starting it yet so far. an i understand the basic idea of setting the valves but if whoever has enough time a quick breakdown of start to finish instructions on setting stock valves would be greatly helpful thanks for your time

if you have stock pedastal mount stamped steel rockers just bolt them down!!! they will be fine, now if you have roller rockers there will be a different procedure.
