k the onyl thing i was stuck on stupid about what the mechanical advance or vacuum advance also... whats the difference from the dist? like these three for example
MSD-8582
MSD-8598
MSD-8579
i compared them the only thing came out difference is one has steel gear the rest are iron... so what makes them difference prices u would think the all billet one would cost more then the one with steel gear.. but it doesnt..

also witch would be better ? im not really trippin about price cuz if im gunna spend 200+ i rather get the better one right away.

mech advance= full out race vac.=non full out race. you need the steel gear if you have a roller cam, other wise itll just eat the cast gear up, so basicly................ vacc. advance w/ steel gear. and youll be set. for the switch, go on ebay and pick up a push button start switch and wire it in.

I see, i was just makin sure you needed a new dizzy rather than just spending money that wont really do you any good. but since your stocker took a crap...time to upgrade!

i also thought you might have been dealing with stock ignition....if that was the case the whole ignition package from summit (dizzy, coil, box, and wires) only runs 500 bones which isnt much more than just the dizzy itself.
