sorry. i had the alt setup for a year with my old alt. my old alt crapped out on me so i got a new one. same kind. both 3gs.

 

ok if we have no connection then most likely.. it might be the regulator. how much did you pay for this 150a alternator.. because the stock3g for this is 130A i sell them new for 150...by the way what gauge wire do u have from the stud to starter sol.150amp current requires atleast 4ga and also what did u do with the two 8ga wires from the old plug.

 

its a 130 amp alt. 150 amp fuze. and thats about how much i paid for the last 2.

 

i taped off the 2 other wires. they arent connected to anything and im pretty sure im using 4g wire but its only 130amp alt.

 

since the fuse was broken and the current had no where to go would that cause the alt to get hott to the touch? or is that another issue in itself?
