Whats the easiest way to identify what year my 302 is? and does anybody know where i can get the vin numbers off the block to do that if you cant just look at it? and where can i find what the vin means ?

should be able to tell by your VIN... and the title.

car looks good though, just get it?

#'s on the engine block above the starter....from that they can be decoded

only accurate way is remove starter and get casting number off the block , starter may have to come out to see them all the way

yeah i got it not long ago... is not stock though, there is tons of supension work, its got a 4 link. As for engine the guy said mild 302 but couldnt tell me anything about it but it sounds like it has a cam and moves like its got more than that but no proof ill hvae to get a pic of whats in it and whats underneath so you guys can piont out anything thats on the outside. Its full time posi though and he says 4.11 gears, it has a fuel cell and relocated battery and all the buttons are toggle switch like fan and fuel and push button start.. he said it used to have a big block in it.. Im just trying to figure out what i want to do with it.
