Default Replacing clutch quadrant only

Can I replace the stock quadrant with an aftermarket one with out
changing the cable? I want to do this first to see if the broken quadrant
is the cause of my clutch not engaging.

You still need a firewall adjuster otherwise, how would you adjust it?

This is a temporary fix until I can get the stands to lift the car and replace the
old cable. That quadrant is really up there. Glad I took off the seat.
I have been reading posts on taking the old quadrant out. I am not real big
but still it is rather tight.

I did mine w/o a fire wall adjuster, It was a steeda unit, that had two spots for the cable to go, worked fine.
