Clutch problems...Help
So i had to go pick up my gf the other day about 30 miles away from my house i took the stang for a ride. I picked her up and my clutch pedal was getting looser and looser and harder to get in gear and finally i couldnt get it in hear and had to get it towed home. 140 bucks later i get it home. Today i put the jackstands on and found the clutch cable and the bell housing loose. So i put the cable at the last hook in the quadrant to make it tight and tightned the cable at the fork. Took it around the block and it was fine half way home it started getting the same way again. The clutch pedal is fine but the car is almost impossible to get into gear. The clutch cable is only 3 weeks old if that? Is this the clutch or the clutch cable and am i installing this wrong or somethin?

same thing happened to me, do you have a heavy duty kinda clutch or something? You probably need an adjustable clutch cable. I went threw 2 clutch cables in like a few weeks and it was almost impossible for me to get it into gear. I just bought one of these http://secure.50resto.com/product1.c...tegory_ID=1020 A clutch quadrant. I think the stock one is made out of plastic or something and i had a heavy duty clutch so it was just bending the plastic piece and somehow ruining my clutch cable. I only bought that though, i wish i bought the entire adjustable clutch becasue my clutch is as hard as F*ck to push down. But i havent had any more problems with clutch cables and the car not going into gear since and it's been about a year.
