Default how much louder with headers?

I had another question for the guy with headers on their 5.0 How much louder did it seem to get. I got a 90 gt with 2 chamber flowmaster on their now, but it seems too quiet to me. I recently picked up a set of jba(shortie) headers from a buddy and am going to put them on their very soon here. I was considering going with the one chamber flowmasters, but thought I should throw the headers on there with the 2 chamber first. Is any one running headers with 2 chamber flows? how much louder did the headers make the car?

headers won't make the car much louder. it might change the tone a little bit. do you have an aftermarket h-pipe? the stock pipe has four cats and they really restrict sound and power.

yea the h-pipe is stock... do you think I'd lose too much back pressure if I went with the one chamber? I want the car loud but I don't want to lose any power because of it. I would like to get a no cat h pipe, but in california I would have to deal with putting the other one back on eveytime I smog

than get a catted x or h-pipe. you will notice a difference in sound as well as power. today's aftermarket cats will flow much, much better than your stock ones will. plus the aftermarket pipes only use two cats instead of four.

you can do what most people on here do and get a off road h pipe and keep the stock h pipe for emissions
