I have a question about the car shaking. I got off the freeway the other day and my car at idle shakes really bad. I've looked at tons of different things but can figure it out. Also between 3400-3600 rpms it shakes bad again but in between it runs fine. Also, when i turn the air on it helps the shaking just a little. Someone told me that the harmonic balancer could be messed up. I checked it and it is a little bit loose. IS it supposed to be that way. I have a 91 foxbody. Thanks Brad

It could very easily be your harmonic balancer or again it may be your motor mounts are getting wore out. is it shaking the whole car? mine when you rev it to about 3500 you can feel the car twist sorta. It could just be idling/running rough.

already checked motor mounts they look fine. Yeah the whole car shakes. Is it hard to replace a balancer?

the balancer isn't to bad but you have to have a puller
