Angry Electrical Problems

I have an 89 LX 5.0 Ever since i got it there was a shortage problem with using the mirrors switch to move the mirror while the stereo was on because it would blow the fuse even though that switch was replaced. Then i noticed my turn signals and heater stopped working so i jiggle my ignition and press on my steering wheel to get that to work. Then when im driving and i have the heater or ac on if i put the clutch in my car will die.

If someone could give me some tips on what to do that would be great.

sounds like a bad ground i would start by testin ur grounds with a test light. Hook the light to a power source and touch the ground if it lights up its good

sad to say you probably won't find much help online. sounds like someone went to town on the wiring harness. best bet would be to either start tearin the dash apart and look for crossed/jumped wires, or pay someone to diag it. we can provide you with wiring diagrams to start your search, but sad to say **** like this takes hours and hours.

The key with electrical, of course is safety. Many problems as already noted can be grounding points no longer providing an ample ground. Also check for wear spots on insulation which unfortunately requires exposing alot of wire. But start with basic chassis grounds first. Get a repair manual with good diagrams to help you out. Lastly, if it's over your head take it to a shop. Electrical fires are never fun.
