Here's my problem. My fuel guage was always reading full 95% of the time.

I had to drop my tank anyway to replace my pickup tube, so I bought a new sending unit and replaced it also.

However my fuel guage still reads fuel even with a 1/4 tank of fuel in it. What else could cause this issue?

 

wiring short. when the lead to the sending unit is grounded, it spikes the gauge to full.

 

Thanks for the info. Now I just gotta figure out which wire it is.
