Default 5 lug conversion spindle question

What is the difference between the 94+95 and the 96 spindles? i got my eye on a set of 96 spindles that i'm thinking about buying but i dont want to have to sell them if they aren't going to work correctly. I plan on running 17" bullitts about 8 or 9 inches wide up front and 10 or 10.5 in the rear. Thanks!

The 96's have a slightly wider track. As far the 10-10.5's on the rear. It's gonna take some serious work to make those fit.

so the 96 would be a better choice if i'm trying to run 8" or 9" up front? What is the widest you can run without serious modification, and what entails "serious modification" to make the 10 or 10.5 fit?

No! ...the 94/95 is the better choice for a Fox body...as stated ^^^, too much work to get the 96's to work...You'll have no problems with a 8 or 9" wheels...10"+ you're going to have roll the fenders....

And why is this? I installed 2000 spindles on my car absolutely flawlessly.

You still have to use a spacer or SN95 ball joint. The tack width gets a whole 5/16" wider and you get more steering angle since thse cars don't turn on a quarter to begin with. I'm running an 8 inch wheel up front and the tire and fender are completely flush, along with zero rubbing.

With the 94/95 you have to clearance them at the caliper bracket location to run Cobra brakes...unless they are 94/95 Cobra spindles....
