Default shift problems

every once in a while i'll have the most hardest time ever to engage into 1st ,2nd, and reverse. so hard sometimes that i almost literally hurt myself (throw my back out or something). then all of a sudden out of the blue like say the next day, it shifts just fine. i have a pro 5.0 shifter but i know it's not that cuz i had the same problem with the stock shifter. i have a 93 gt hatch btw.

you might want to get the clutch cable kit that has a quadrant, adjustable cable, and firewall adjuster. it sounds like your cable isnt tight enough

few things could be wrong. you may need fluid in your tranny, your cable could be bad, your tranny mount maybe shot and causing tranny to be cocked when shifting it. you wont know to you look
