Default Where is the signal relay?

The turn signals quit working in the car. I changed the fuse, still not working. Can someone tell me where the relay is? The car is an '89. Thanks in advance.

There are two flashers one for turn signals and one for the hazard lights. On some cars they are back to back on the fuse panel, but on my 93 one is on the fuse panel, it works the hazards and the other behind the glove box. To make sure, turn the hazards on and listen for the clicking. You can switch them out with each other to see if it is indeed the flasher that is bad.

Also check the switch itself, look at the wiring harness that plugs in to the back of the switch somtimes you might get a short and will cause your turn signals o quit working.

What does it look like? Under the dash I found a brown box. Could this be it?

The flasher is a small cylindrical device with two flat metal termals sticking out of one end to connect the wires to. I suspect your '89 is like my '90. If so, you can see one in the fuse panel that's just under the dash on the far left side. Unfortunately, this is the one for the 4-way flasher. The turn signal flasher is up in the dash just right of center. Kinda between the stereo area and the glove box.

I would suggest checking it out.

They are in different places for different years. In my 88 it was below the steering colum. Theres a small panel directly below the colum. Remove it and look to the left. Mine was attached to the dash right there. Round, light blue relay.
