How to 5 lug conversion

How to 5 lug conversion
I have access to a wrecked 96 GT. I can get the spindles off of it for a steal. Will these spindles work on my 92 GT or where could I find out what will fit? Additionally how do I change the rear to 5 lug, do I have to change the axles or the entire housing? Thanks all.

those spindles should be fine as long as the car didn't smash the curb and bend either one. as far as the back goes you need to find new axles besides those. sn's had a ABS exciter ring on the axles that made them wider. you need to go to a bone yard and find some drivers side aerostar axles or ranger, bronco 2's. any of those should work but only the drivers side since the pass is the wrong length for stangs

Read this. They are there for everyones use but no one seems to ever look at the stickies.

By the way it is the LEFT SIDE FOR RANGERS AND RIGHT FOR AEROSTAR!

I feel like I respond to a 5 lug conversion every week.
The rear 96 axles CAN work. As long as you use SN95 brakes. Any rear brakes from 94-04 should work. Just use the axles from a 94-98 not a 99-04 as the 99-04s are 1-1/2" longer. The 94-98 axles are 3/4" longer so yo uneed to watch what offset you're going to use as far as wheels are concerned.
I used the rear SN95 setup and love how flush the tires fit to the fender.
But you can always go the cheap route with to driver's side ranger axles and stick with drums.
