Default 93LX rear disc break conversion

i've got a 93 LX, and a guy at a local salvage yard said that i could rip out the rear end of a bubble body(94-98) and bolt it straight into my fox body. Has any one done this? is he telling me the truth or is he full of it?? any help would be appreciated

you'll have to change your BB and adjust your break lines to work with the disks. but other than that yea he's right it will just bolt right in. also know the rear end has a wider base and will be 3/4" longer on both sides.

You will also need to upgrade your master cylinder, gut the porportioning valve and install an aftermarket adjustible porportioning valve. And im pretty sure the 94-95's are only 1/2in per side wider then the fox,96-98 is 3/4in wider.

what ive read as long as you do the port conversion on the new BB you dont need an aftermarket porportioning valve unless thats what your referencing. also good to know the diff in both the rear ends from 94-95 up to 96-98.

Well the factory porportioning valve is set up with drum brakes in mind that flow half as much fluid then a disc setup...The big problem with this is the factory valve has a bad tendency of trapping too much fluid and not letting the rear brakes release completly. The way to fix it is gut it.But when you do so YOU NEED an adjustible to adjust the brake bias...If not i hope your a good drifter. And the reason for the rearend difference is because of the increased track width from the spindles of a 96-98.
