No, no, no. It is NOT the water pump,nor the thermostat, or anything related to vacuum.It is right next to the thermostat housing.
Alright, follow a heater core hose. one goes into the water pump while the other one goes to the part, that is located on top of the intake manifold.it is for the heater core.
ahhh Why is it so complicated? I wish I could take a picture of it but I can't.

Does it screw into your intake? Is it a elbow. If so your local auto parts store or hardware store should have that.

You can get this piece off any carbed SBF. When I switched to carb I got mine off a 77 model V8 TBIRD
