Default 95' mustang auto to manual conversion

I am thinking of picking up a '95 mustang (auto) and I want to convert it to manual.
Questions:
How hard is it?
What do i need to purchase?
How expensive is it?
How much would it cost for a auto shop to do it?

off the top of my head, you'll need the crossmember, driveshaft, transmission, bellhousing, pedal assembly, a clutch kit, pilot bearing, flywheel, you'll need to drop the steering column to swap out pedals, you need to run the clutch cable, its a good deal of work, and a shop will rape you royally.

as for cost, you could do it cheaply an search ebay/craigslist for deals or buy all new....

you'll have an easier time searching for a 5-speed car... if your buying an auto with the sole intent to make it a manual. may as well start with a manual car to begin with

Save yourself time and money and get a 5 speed car.

thats not necessary on a SN car, but yea if you dont have the car yet i would just shop around for a 5speed unless you come across a killer deal on a auto, its just one more thing you have to do if you change it. ive done two and there not that involved, just need all the stuff and a weekend. but to have a shop do it, yea they would indeed rape you

I'd just go with a t-5 from the start. hopefully your looking for a GT too, otherwise there is no point.
