I had my cable replaced about a month ago and it must have stretched. It was engaging about an inch off the floor so I pulled the pedal up just wanting a click or two but it went about four. Now it engages at the end of the pedal.I need to know the easiest way to correct this.
The factory plastic quad and pawl are crap........especially after alot of time/mileage on it. I would replace it with an aftermarket quad and firewall adjuster.
I would do it immediately.. I have been stranded before when the crappy plastic quadrant gave out.. Firewall adjuster is the best way to adjust pedal travel..
I agree, those factory plastic quadrants are junk. You can get a after market aluminum one and new adjustable cable off ebay for around $60 and I think they are Steeda. Well worth the money.
