I would look at the front lower control arms bushing. My car squeaked something awful going down the road before I replaced them. We kept trying to spray them down and lube them up but nothing would penetrate them enough to make a difference.

i have no experience with strange engineering shocks, and struts. shocks/struts i do have experience with are some garbage brand that was on my 73 f250 when i bought it. some cheap brand i replaced them with don't even remember the name. they were toast not even 50k miles later. blisteins which are great though not exactly a high performance shock/strut. i would swear by them on trucks, but not my mustangs. monroe which are garbage i thought, and don't last very long. and kyb.

Please allow me to completely disagree with you. As far as I can determine, they are pretty much the best performance dampners out there. It goes so far as to the point that road racing gear company maximum motorsports
http://www.maximummotorsports.com/
Sells bilstein parts and additionally sells custom valved bilstein offerings (Bilsteins are such high quality that they are rebuildable and def. worth it) sutible for coil over and other high rate apps.

please look at:
http://www.bilstein.com/tech.php

The only conflicting point I can think up is that as far as I know there is no "on the fly" valving adjustment such as strange, koni have... sutible for a dual purpose drag and street car, while the bilsteins are suited for a track/road racing car or dual rr/street

You haven't seen 'long'. Actually, what showed up as post#25 above is the edited-down version. What would you have left out that wouldn't have lost some of the meaning?
