Default ignition woes.

Hey people i'm new and i have a problem, first of all i own a 82mustang gt witha 351w important mods to mention for now are: msd 6al, blaster 3 coil, msd billet distributor. car is carburated and supposed to be a simple beast but is giving me a minor headache. Anyway car hasn't been out on the road yet i've had it idling in my driveway all last year and i went to start it up this year and it fired for 4 seconds and cut out, i have no spark at the plug but i have a spark at the coil (although i think it could be stronger) so i know it could be the cap, rotor or wires but all are brand new, the engine cranks the rotor spins, can this be a voltage regulator problem? appreciate some input anyone? thx
