Oil Gallery plugs on 1970 302
#11
The oil pressure is definatly low and the level is definatly good, the motor has a humming/wrap that can be heard in front of the motor, its not loud but its still there. The noise is more prevalent when the motor has been running for awhile.

Crossover is under the intake, oil galley plugs like to pop out. Either way your tearing into the motor to investigate these, and it doesnt matter if oil was hot or cold, it wouldnt have any oil pressure if you were missing either plug. The back 3 oil galley plugs on the back of the block in the bellhousing area are screw in, the 3 behind the timing chain are press in on a 302, on a windsor 2 of them are press in and 1 screw in.
The front right lifters will be starved and may collapse.
Oil pressure deviation varies depending on which galley plug is missing.
