Default Need some 5.0 info :)

Ok, so I thinking of rebuilding a 5.0 from the Boneyard and tackling the feat of putting it into an S197. I just had some general questions,

1. Can any year model (correct term?) be carbed or is there only a certain year/block of the 5.0 that can have a carb set up on it?

2. Will the T5 tranny from the S197's mate to the 5.0? I have seen a T5 advertised for the 5.0 and I was praying that it was the same.

thanks

using a 94-95 tranny would be ideal with the sn-bellhousing...and any 5.0 can be carbed

Budget is the biggest thing here.

They do 302 strokers out of 281's but that would be alot of coin. Either way, good luck on the project...
