i need nitrious help
#11
ive run 100 on my car for about 5 bottles.
after my 2nd bottle, i had a nasty backfire and blew my intake gaskets apart.
come to find out the heads/spring's where worn out, had the head's rebuilt, and after getting the car back together reolized the nitrous had torn my transmission to shreads.
im in the process of replacing the transmission.
ive sprayed a 150shot on the dyno, the recommended pill's made the car go WAY off the chart's rich, so we went from a 37pill fuel, to a 35pill of fuel, made good power even with the tran's slipping.
(a good reson to put your car on the dyno and watch it when spraying the first time so you can adjust your pills and such)
n-e-who.
i personally wouldent use more then a 150 shot.
but even with a 100 shot, i would back down to 1 step colder plug(i think mine are gapped to .35), pull some timing (i run 10-13* base for 100, 8-10* base for 150) highest octane pump gas you can get, and dont spray under 2700-3000rpm.
feel free to ask any questions, i dont try to act like some expert, but I have some experence with nitrous use.

your stock pistons are forged so they can handle some spray. I'd say just to go with a 100 shot. and then do everything 302army mentioned.
but I, and everyone else on here, can't believe you made that much power with those mods. If you really did you either don't have a stock bottom end or the dyno is total crap.

first off,army187 thanks ill probaly be in touch, your input seems very helpful. and yes that is an engine dyno, not to the wheels..... second off, greddy, i dont give a **** what you [I]believe[I]. come to ohio and ill bring the wood screws so you can put your doors back on after i blow them off.... you think im gonna give away ALL my secrets?????? stockmonster doesnt seem like it might be a sleeper to you????and yes i am on an all stock lower half, if you dont believethat i guess you like spending money more to make you rod go fast.... i think outside the box, but its all good greddy you can feel free to hate on me, all day long. and if you think the dyno was **** call the performance clinic in ohio and get your **** straight, i want help not bull****

yes, you pull timing.
most peoples base timing is set in the upper teens, or even in the 20's.
nitrous will detonate with high timing
(ive sprayed on the dyno with 18-19* timing on a 100 shot before but nothing happend)
its MUCH MUCH safer to pull some timing, lose a couple horse power, then push your luck with your timing set to advanced.

ohhhhh greddy i just saw that you run an auto..... what did you buy the first mustang you came across. and it seems you just bored out YOUR stock 302, hmmmm cubic inches doesnt automaticlly make you a bad ***. really you have less going on than me.also notice you dont have a hp rating ANYWERE, funny. let the haters hate

alright that about fits what i have heard, as far as start low and work up. i know that wet kit is better all around but i am on stock pistons, rings, crank ,heads...believe me or not my 88 was on a dyno last summer @292hp the only "internal upgrade" i have is a f303 cam. i want to acheive 350hp maybe a little higher on my stock 302 short block. i know it can be done, but im leaning toward a dry kit bc its mainly a budget thing.
and for future reference, i wouldnt chase people off by saying, "if you dont have this mod on YOUR stang, dont post" its a good way to offend those who know what they are talking about but may not be currently running the mod your requesting info on.
