Im need to replace my valve cover gasket on the driver side. What is the easiest way to go about doing this with out taking off the manifold?

it would be near impossible i think to reach everything with the intake manifold on. I think, never tried pulling the valvecovers without pulling the intake.

its really not hard at all to pull the intake off though......

I got my 86 mustangs out without removing the upper intake. Short extension and socket on a 1/4 flexhead ratched and the bolts will come out. Just roll it out from there. If I remember right I had to remove the bolt holding my dipstick in place so I could move it out of the way. Dont use the cork gaskets either, get the felpro blue rubber ones with the meatal cores. No more leaks and cant overtighten them. Good luck they are easy.

best way is remove the upper intake, you can try to get them out without, but it's a little tight

i tried taking the valve cover off today, and i got all the bolts out not as hard as i thought it would be . But then when i tried to take the valve cover off , there was a problem i couldnt lift the valve cover high enough in the back because of the upper manifold , looks like i will have to take the upper off to do this after all .
