1987 GT 5.0L WONT IDLE PLEASE HELP
I have a 1987 Mustang GT 5.0L 5spd, when i first go to start it up, it starts, then spudders and dies, unless i give it a little throttle, if i give it too much it sounds like it just sucks air, and dies, I have replaced the Engine Coolant Temp sensor, Air Charge temp sensor, its a speed density car, and its stock, i swapped the throttle body, off of a good, smooth running 5.0, and still have the same problem, it also surges, but i havent checked the voltage reading on the TPS, what should it be? PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the sucking air and dying thing and idle surging you wrote makes me think its a vacuum leak. i,m always in a hurry and forget to hook them back up. how did the car run before you changed the throttle body.sometimes the newer pvc have a extra vacuum that must be plugged they sometimes fall out and need to plugged back up. it happened to me and took a long time to find it. had the same symptom you described
