I ran my timing at 17* all the time with my Edelbrock heads...Key is Good fuel and tune!!

With stock heads, I'd bump to 14-15* with Super Unleaded and go have fun!! ...strain? ...Strain is pumping 20#'s of a Vortech T-trim through a Stock Block and shifting at 6,800 rpm's

i run 14 degrees on my motor. get a timing light and mess with it. start at 10 or 12 and go up from there. just mess around. then you will start to get a feel for what your car likes.

80mm TB on a stock Mustang?? ..how much low end will that car have? ...heck, I ran a 70mm TB on my 625hp '91 Mustang GT...
So low end is lost with a bigger (70mm+) TB?... why? ... the TB is only an airflow valve, set the fuel trim correctly, and you'll accelerate faster within the same HP window. BTW.... boost (as the example you posted) will take care of, hide, any airflow deficiency you may have.

80mm TB on a stock Mustang?? .. how much low end will that car have? ...... set correctly?.... the same, but it will accelerate faster.... or does TB ID size has a say in engine torque?

with boost, there is no airflow deficiency, & plenty of low end power! ...I guess the best thing is to put a Fox body on a dyno with a 65mm TB and 80mm TB and see what happens!
