When to get tested and no oil in the rad and heads are good but the fan only comes on when the temp gets half way and goes off after the temp goes down a littlt ...the fan wont let the car over heat but will let it stay at half way why? also when the fan comes on it is in high speed

I dont understand? Your car is running within the normal range, fan is kicking on, its not overheating. If you want it to run a little cooler go with a lower temperature thermostat.

That should have changed the operating temp the 180 thermo that is, did you test your coolant temp sensor? Use an ohmeter cold it should be around 74 ohms, as the engine heats up the resistance will drop and should read around 9.7 ohms.

it's not the fan....does this car have a stat in it? what psi is the rad cap? other than these 2 you might have a partially plug rad..
