i think and KNOW it is a huge waste of money..i thought it would of been great to add to my old 94...sure it revved faster...but the alt crapped out, needed a new battery, wouldnt start half the time due to charging issues, swapped back and it felt like a million dollars...keep the stock ones on..invest in heads or intake etc...save the headache!!!

i will admit this, i do run a set of UD pulleys on my f-150 and i was quite shocked at the difference they made on my truck. on a 5.0, they are worthless. i had a set of march UD's for a while, had charging issues (back when i had the stock alt) and i noticed no real gains, i ended up selling them when i got the vortech

I have them in my car, no probs. I say that they are a good bang for the buck.

Another advantage to underdrives is they slow down the accessories. This keeps them from spinning at warp 9 after your typical h/c/i swap which is followed by burying the factory tachometer.
