edelbrock top end kit?

Buy the TrickFlow Street Burner kit. It out performs the Edelbrock kit and is a more inclusive kit. Don't worry that it won't quite hit the 300 rwhp mark on a chassis dyno. Whats really important is the torque it makes and where it makes it. Way to many people worry about peak hp numbers. There are 600 hp ricers laying down the numbers but can't break out of the 13's. A dyno is a great tool for tuning. 1320 feet of asphalt and concrete tells the real story. I'll take 360 lbs of torque at the crank over 300hp at the wheels any day of the week. Build torque, gear it right makes for fun especially when you bust up your buddies 600hp EVO 9

i just want the ol pony to keep up to some gtos....wont be hard to do since they're best time was a 14.3!!...cause im planning H/C/I with upper/lower control arms some good springs and shocks with some nitto drag radials....now with the trickflow kits is the street burner and track heat just different intake manifolds?cause i see the track heat rated 10hp more

In MM&FF magazine several years ago they tested the Edelbrock H/C/I on a 95 Mustang with a Lentech AOD and when all was said in done, they made 262rwhp and 299rwtq. On Nitto Drags they ran 13.5's@102-103(3.73's).

The kits are great for those people who want a proven power package instead of where they follow some peoples bad advice. Plus they can order the kit and have just about everything they need except the labor. It's sure possible to build a more powerful kit with careful selection but for someone just starting out it's a safe kit and a lot of bang for the buck.
