I had a friend with a stock bottm end, canfield 195's an a custom cam wit .550+lift and no ptv issues, if you wish to not notch pistons, a custom cam is your best bet so valve timing issues can be taylored to avoid such.

screw that you can buy a new set for 1379 heres the site http://www.canfieldheads.com/sbf_cncc.html thats a bad deal in my eyes just because i think you could have them ported and polished for like a grand max depending on all you wanted done even though the bids started at 1400 i mean is he going to take that hit

i would not buy heads off ebay. if im going to buy canfields, i will get them straight from john fenton (owner of canfield) or from jay allen (owner of CI)

im suprised john did not answer the phone, are you sure you have the right #?

even if the stock cam did not have PTV problems (which im sure it will) it will have no where near the power/acceleration it should, get a custom cam.
