Default California smog legal long tubes?

I was wondering if anyone had any information as to if there were long tubes that would pass CA emissions if I run cats. I never gave long tubes much thought until I went 1 out of 3 against my friends u/d pulley, long tubes w/no cats, intake and suspension work ls1.. I think it could be a big difference vs my bbk shorties?.. what do you guys think.

If your friend with the LS1 let you get one by he must not be able to drive.lol As long as the 02's are in the stream and it has cats it should pass a sniffer test. But in California style they have to have the CARB # on them. Most guys I know that live in CA tell me they run the long tubes and have a friend to do "Inspections" or have the old stuff handy to get them through. As far as I know there are no long tubes carrying the CARB #. I don't dig around much as it's not an issue where I live.

ya it was the carb#'s i was wondering about. I dont know anyone who would let me pass for a few extra bones but im sure it could happen.
as far as the ls1 goes, we started from a dig, I spun first and short shifted to second but he got a good start so there was no way I was winning. 2nd run he let me get the jump and didnt catch me I think he spun a little though. third I got the go again but he had a great start and past me in the half/upper part of third and kept pulling while I was in 4th. Im not proclaiming to be faster than an ls1 I expected him to smash me but I did a lot better than I thought. I also beat a jaguar from a roll after he honked it off and an ~85 vette from about a 25 roll.. oh and the intake on the ls1 was a k&n not a manifold..

how do you think I would do with some gt40p's? Ive heard they flow a little better than gt40's and anything is an upgrade from e7's I suppose. maybe itll be enough to bump me from 283rwhp to break 300?
