tps sensor problem
so recently i have converted to a fox style throttle body and that includes the tps sensor. well i had one from discount and checked the tps voltage among other things (car wasnt idling good) and realized that my tps (which i bought from autozone) had too wide a range even when the tps sensor was backed down as low as recomended at idle which i believe is .90 if i am not mistaken.
i was told to get a ford replacement that the aftermarket ones have problems and in doing so the guy at the local ford said that there are 2 different tps sensors, my question is how do i determine which one is for mine? he said he needed the calibration code but he couldnt use that because my car is a 94. my guess is one is for CA emissions and one isnt, but i really could use some help/clarification on this issue. the sensor is 100 dollars from ford and you cant take back electrical parts and i hate paying 100 on a tps, ill really hate paying 200 because i have to buy 2.
thanks to anyone that helps me out

Anything between .5 vdc and 1.19 vdc is "acceptable" for the TPS closed throttle position. You could be wasting money replacing a perfectly good component. What is the closed throttle and the WOT voltage readings?
i forget what the wot was Joel, but as stated after tightening the screws my idle was at .90, i will check it again when i get off of work tonight and post my results in the morning. my mechanin is the one who does all my work, i usually don't mess with my car because i usually do something wrong and double my labor charges the next time i take my car to my very demanding but awesome mechanic.
however, i do trust him that it is bad, he also recomended that i get rid of the tb set up i have on ther its a proffessional products and he says it has an adapter that the tps has to screw down to, but that he tested it on a stock tb and the voltage was doing the same thing.
anyhow i wonder what is the difference between the two sensors and which one would i need if i indeed needed one??? i have the part numbers if it would help, but i swear from looking at them they are almost identical

ya i def want a new 1 but awesome idea didnt think of 50resto for tps, man they have a pretty solid collection of parts! anyhow 50resto still sells the same to tps sensors!! and i am def stumped on which one i should get, does anyone know which tps sensor i should get, or is it trial and error, or will they both work?
thanks for the replies and help guys, hope the last question gets answered so i can order the tps tomorrow morning if needed!!

ya only problem is my year is a 94, but i converted to a fox throttle body setup... there is 2 tps with 2 different part numbers that look exactly the same, so i am kinda lost might have to do trial and error and sell the other on ebay for what i can get out of it??
