BESIDES....this is an opinion argument...all in what you like
There's still that extra smog pulley delete hangin' around...and the foot comment was just sarcasm...

And the PS to me doesn't look natural hangin out up there covering the valve covers. But like you said, to each his own

One thing I would point out is that you have failed to S the belt around the crank, and therefore can easily experience belt slippage. Basically your only point of contract on the crank is the bottom.
It must make enough contact, since it's been running like that for 5 years...

I've only had to replace the belt once in 5 years for that matter, last weekend, because it was squeaking. I don't know how long you go between belt changes or what the manufacturer suggests, but I think it does great. I've done 600 mile round trips and no hiccups.

Like I said , it's an opinion discussion = no right or wrong, and had you looked a little closer, you'd see I'm not running a chumped out factory water pump, the smog delete pulley was necessary to pull the lower portion of the belt away from the water pump idler, I tried running it without = made one heck of a rubber mess, the belt sizes went so that the belt was either to short or to long = put tensioner at the max....my set up was done for a reason......oh and FYI it doesn't cover the valve cover, that was just the angle of the pic taken, I have plenty of other pics to prove that point.
besides you can't see the valve covers once I put my air cleaner on, mine was built to retain the factory sleeper look = whole goal I had, but it is far from that

That's the same reason I routed it my way because we both would have had no belt in no time if routed stock with no ingenuity.

I still think that pump sits too high!

+1 that is how I run mine (except with a smog pump). The PS up there is the much nicer look. But to each his own in this case.

That's a nice looking motor.

i like either way they both look nice but let me tell you one thing that doesnt look nice is the dam instructions you get off of summit to figure it out but after a few minutes of toying with it i didnt need them just threw some duct tape on it seems to be fine lol jk but with the instructions they give you you might need the tape but also im running into the second problem im afraid of releasing the the power steering pressue line its all turned funny and im afraid of cracking it when i loosen it to move it any suggestions on how to do it safely??

I thought the pressure line is supposed to swivel on the pump even when the nut is tightened? What do you got going on?

The PS pump will move pretty far. Even when I did the heads I just took it off the front of the engine and set it down on the lower rad hose, the line will swivel right where it connects to the pump.

What are you trying to do anyway, put in the A/C eliminator ?
