hey everyone i need your imput on this problem really bad........ i went down the street and was drive for less the 5 mins left a stop light got the car into 3 gear and she started to sputter and wouldnt go any where. so me and my buddy pushed her to the gas station right down the road and i left my lights on so people could see us. so while we are pushing white smoke starts to come out from under the hood by the bat.... so i turn everything off and if went away got the car towed home and now she is sitting in front of the house and have no clue what the hell is going on here.. oo and i forgot that while we where rolling i put it in second and popped the clutch and she started back up but still wouldnt go any where at all still sputtering bad and died again and wen u try to start it with the key nothing just turns over but sounds like its not getting any spark... i called my dad and said maybe a bad fuel pump called my buddie and said maybe a bad distrub. or modual. but where would the smoke have come from and why????? im not so worried about the starting or the sputtering but the smoke is what is really really really really scaring the hell out of me right now... i just cant put things together please please help me out.......

check the battery connections and once that is done with a used plug check for spark and if you have spark, spray ether in the TB and see if it'll briefly fire up

sounds like a bad wire somewhere so it is shorting everything out

ok last night after search around for like 3 hours i found the problem. Some how my tach wires touched and shorted it out and burnt the clip and the wire down to the plug... I am at work right now but am going home later wit a new coil and clip and see if that works i am just hoing that it isnt a fuseable link it dont look like it went any further down the wire just to the coil clip and the plastic part the was holding the two wires together.... More info will be helpful thanks
