I just bought an upper/lower GT-40/Cobra intake manifold with throttle body that came out of a 1998 Ford Explorer, I bought it at ebay for $250.00 dollars all I need to do is to clean it up and buy an elbow adapter and the gasket kit, probably start putting it in this weekend. Here are some instrutions if you guys buy a used one and good luck.......my car is a 1994 Mustang GT.

the bbk has a little more on the top end than the gt-40 and gives up a little more low end than the gt-40. it is a great street intake and you certainly can't go wrong with it.

Just a quick question, It says it wont fit stock deck height, meaning hood, But I got The Cervenis ram air hood 2" Lift I think will it clear?
Don't know where you read that....

When they did an article in 5.0 magazine (article I read) they stated that it will fit a stock hood as long as you pull the liner out.

87cobra...you will be fine, but I do have a question for you. I want to get a stormin normin too from cervini...but the 2"....is that measured from the outside or is that actual clearance space you get? Because I know the actual hood scoops on the hood acount for some height

I am preety sure its the deck height I took a look at my old stock hood that I had laying aroung and busted out the ruler and its 2" fromthe top of the stock manifold. Its also 2" off top deck height.

i say go with a holley, or an eddy intake, they are very well known and work well, i would not pay 450 for a use intake when you can spend a lil more and get a new one, i have a holley its not on yet but it looks nice and the ports are huge.

I just love the way that BBK intake looks, its different its one of the reasons I want to get it. Even though its a lil pricey.

I second that. It is also new meaning not many people have it yet.
