Default PCV Valve 'Grommet' Question

I replaced my stock '93 intake with a Cobra intake.

So I went ahead and purchased a new PCV valve and also the grommet that goes into the intake. My question is does anyone put any RTV on the lip of the grommet then inserts it into the intake? I just know that you want this to be a tight fit and assume that it needs to be sealed? If so what did you use and where did you apply it?
