Default Vacuum line replacements

ok I got the (soft silicone)lines to replace the hard brittle (nylon?) lines but the tricky thing is how do I replace the rubber boots at each end? also the rubber boots that run from the EGR solenoid(not the valve) to the air valves on the smog pump return line, are they even possible to take off? I had a hard time trying to remove them.

Here is what you do, for the boots at the end, you need to cut the hard plastic leaving enough to slip the new hose on. (Or you could just eliminate the boot all together).

Also there is that 4 port cluster near the passanger side (one of those lines goes to the EGR, Manifold, and 2 to the smog stuff). You can remove the plug and you will see you can push hoses right onto the yellow plastic part.

Hope this makes sense.

the problem is there is BARELY enough old line to keep the new hose on, I ended up supergluing the hose on to the last .5 mm of old line, making sure not to get it inside the airway

that is the EGR solenoid, I cant get the boot off from the one that goes to the smog valves, again I just ended up super gluing the silicone hose on the few MM that where left

I see what you mean. Like I said, you can scrap the boots. But it looks like you got it going. Cool.

just plug vaccum line directly into the component, no need to try and save a faulty end
