Angry 86 5.0L AOD

The tranny slips, from a stop to start. no matter how much throttle, does that sound like the torque converter failing?

sounds like the bands are starting to slip. i had an AOD in my last car, it started to slip in 4th, then 3rd, then 2nd and it kept getting worse. i bought a used Aod for 75$ and put it in, used the same torque converter and the problem went away.

..be patient............your description of your prob is as general as it gets, one of a 100 reasons it could be why the tranny slips...go get a new tranny= prob solved, AOD spelled backwards = DOA...CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL
