Default the 5.0 grew on me, Getting one, need some help. 347 stroker?

well i found an awesome deal locally for an 89 GT hatch red on red with a 347 stroker, full MSD ignition, edelbrock intake manifold, rebuilt T5, ect with 3k miles on the rebuilds for $4k. I was wondering, when buying things such as heads, intakes, ect, does a 347 stroker still take 5.0 parts or would it use different models? heres the ad description, will probably drive down to look at it this week:

REAR END, STOCK 8.8W/355 GEAR.NEW ELECTRIC RADIATOR,AUTO METER GAUGES

sorry for the caps, thats how the ad was. So how does it sound? and then of coarse the orgininal question of, will it take 5.0 parts (probably a stupid question but I only know about the modulars)? any other suggestions for the car when (hopefully) i get it?

yup those are the 3 things that i didn't understand, but thats why I'm going to check it out, and also why i asked if 5.0 parts such as heads and I.M.s fit the stroker, because i would look to the trick flow heads and manifold. As for cams I'm going to ask him, check and see if it has the idle loop of aftermarkets, but I was planning on some Comp cams anyways, i think the stroker 248's here: http://www.compperformancegroupstore...y_Code=F50COMP

the way the heads are often listed is for 302 blocks/5.0's so yes to your question but to give you an example afr 185's are listed for 302's/ 351's but work fine on 302's with a head bolt bushing

awesome thanks for your help man. As for tuning (per required for the cams) what do you recommend for an 89? from my experience with the modulars, special forces sniper tuning and SCT are the two winners when tuning. Are they the way to go with these older 5.0's too?

with mild builds and even some 347 builds here are using the stock ecm with no prob, a tune will max potential, but if you wanna start early on there are tuners such as the tweecer, that allow you personally to customize your tune, but they come with a learning curve.

alright sounds good, thanks. So you said before thats it's probably not 400hp, which I kinda figured, but what should i expect numbers wise? also, should i go FRPP cams or comp cams, and which model? It will be a killer drag and DD mix, and the stroking is new to me so I don't know how that effects cams performance. thanks again for all the help as I enter the 5.0 world, I think Im gonna like it more than the modulars
