Capri 5.0 Vs. GT 5.0

what are the differences, are there any? is it the same HP and torque? whats the diff and the same besides the capri sittin on the same chassi/frame as the fox

What year? I know the 86 engines on Mustangs don't have notched pistons...so if the Capri's are the same that's something to take into consideration...

I have a "86 Capri 5.0 / 5 speed manual

Hum......
Front end is different, "box" fenders all around. Rear end is different, plus I have a "Bubble" Back Windshield"
Interior is identical, chassis is Identical,

Engine, Identical to 86 5.0
I have speed density, fuel injection. Wheels are "Phone Dial/ten hole" I have read the heads are not good for modifications(Internal mods). I have a larger throttle body, phelum spacer, JBA headers. etc. Still easy to work on......I am keeping her.

True dual exhaust, ......

I believe the 86 Capri was rated around 205 hp due to weight difference(due to rear glass). But I have read the Capri was "more" aerodymatic due to rear glass.

I have around 175K on the original V-8. With no problems. Just worn out Silver paint.
