Default 17x9 w/ spacers?

I got some 17x9 cobra wheels and had them on before and had to take them off cause they were rubbing on the front control arms and have the turbines on them for now. Someone gave me the idea of running spacers, but i don't want the wheels to stick out Too far and i dont wanna have to roll the fenders out. Anybody done this before and if so wut size spacers should i use front and back?

Its not recomended to have spacers on the front from what I heard. What size tire are you running? some one told me you can run 17x9 in front with a 245 tire.

I've been lookin at a set of 17x9's with 245's and everyone says they fit ok, but may needto get rack limiters to keep them from rubbing the lower control arms.

yea thats wut i got, but the problem is its rubbing on the control arms. Hell if i could find someone with the same wheels but 17x8 i'd trade them a pair for pair lol. Also thought about using these tubular a-arms, anybody know if that would nix the rubbing?

Do the wheels rub all thetime or just when making a hard turn? What is the backspace of the wheels? Most of the wheels I'm looking at have a b.s. of 5.75". Are rack limiters an option?

Unless the spacers are huge, it will not solve the problem.

There were thin spacers under my 17x9s when I bought the car. I prefer the precision of running the rim right against the hub so I removed them. Before and after, same.

I think rack limiters are the best option.

Mine fit fine with 245s up front and I turn it hard quite often. Make sure everything on your front suspension is up and tight. Every little millimeter counts.

i just grinded down my control arm i have the same rims. it only grinds during hard turns, and when it rubes it rubs just a tad if you grind it down i think you would be find it shouldnt be that much to grind off. the clearance issue is like a half an inch or somting
