domindart, how much do you want to spend and are you interested in the flexalite fan? It was actually used for about 20 miles in a 300zx TT until it was parked and taken apart. The fan has been sitting in a garage ever since.

Im wanting to spend half of new for a used. I think thats decent of me, I mean , i t is used.
Does it come w all the wires and controller, and brackets and mounts?
Also, you say its been in a 300zx, will it go into a stang ?
I need a direct fit, cause I have no fab skills.

It was designed for a stang, we just happened to use it on the Z because it was cheaper than the electrics for the Z. still have the original mounting stuff. I'll take a picture of it and send it to you. pm me your email address.

What you need to really understand about the mechanical fan draw vs alt draw when the fan is running. Is the electric fan should rarely run. In a properly set up system the electric fan should only run a few seconds or even a minute AFTER you stop driving and there is no air flow through the radiator. After 30 mph or so there is no need for a fan. Electric or mechanical.
A mechanical fan is ALWAYS running. Even on a dead cold morning. Yes a fan clutch helps remove some of the heavy draw but have a look, it's still running.

you also have to consider, your alt is making that electricity all the time (unless its dead). Is your car using all that it can make? If not then the fan shouldn't draw more than it makes and if it does then you need a new alt
