Default overheating

so my car started overheating a few days ago it stayed in the normal range but on the "a" or "l" of normal, instead of where it usually is around the "r". then when i was on the highway it went into the H stayed there for a few seconds then slowly went back down to the "a" then kept doing this. now it stays at the H and i dnt kno why any ideas? my intake box snapped a little and isnt tight against the fender does this have anything to do with it?

jus squeez the hose if it feels pretty solid and the hos is hot ther e is water flowing through it. iff the hose jus collapses and its cold the t-stat hasnt open yet. ur thermostat could be stuck open which causes the coolant to flow through the radiator too quick not giving it time to cool off causein you to overheat.

Switch that thermostat to a 180. Any leaks on the radiator or such?

I'm the go-to guy for overheating. In AZ I've probably had to deal with every overheating problem available. D:

The only way a an upper radiator hose could be faulty is if it's leaking.

You may want to swap out a water pump or check for leaks. Is your coolant full even after a long drive?

so your saying an upper radiator hose is only faulty when it leaks. so when i get down on it and the hose collapses thats fine?
