Default Help with this timing light??

Howdy all, this is my first post(woohoo!) and hopefully I'm putting this in the right section. Well I just got this 92 lx a few weeks ago. And have been reading that you can advance timing a few degrees on these cars. Well I've done the research and found out how, but this timing light confuses me. It's got a dial on the back that goes from 0-10-20-30 with notches inbetween. Now if I wanna set my car to 14* timing do I put the dial at 14, then turn the distributor until the timing mark is at 0? Or do I put them both at 14? I got this light from my gramps a while ago and lost the directions, any help is appreciated! Thanks.

I dont know, my timing gun is just a gun that you point and pull the trigger and it lights up when the car turns over and reads the gauge...

on the dial thingy It says amount advanced, or soemthing like that, so I'm going to put it at 14* and get the balancer at 0* and see how she runs.

thats how its supposed to work..

OR you could leave it at 0 and set 14° on the balancer
