Default Heater Hose Help!!

Ok....building my 1988 LX. Got the motor in (donor carb motor from 1985 Lincoln Town Car - 302), put dizzy in (aftermarket HEI style), now I can not get the heater hose that goes into the intake to fit. No room below the dizzy cap. Can I put both heater hoses on the water pump, and block off the one on the thermostat housing? Any other options? Any help is appreciated!!

I will take pics tonight. This is the large cap HEI with the coil in top of the cap. No room on my Weiand intake for the heater hose barb. I know if I run them both from the waterpump, they will circulate when cold also since they are both run before the thermostat, but will that matter? I plan on installing the vacume shut off valve in the supply line. Oh heck....who needs heat.

You can't screw a 90* fitting into the intake then screw the hose barb into the 90? I did that and my dizzy clears fine...

Are you referring to the hard lines that run along the intake on a stock motor? If so, I've never seen one fit a carb'd intake, I know mine didn't.
