my mustang revs up when i start it?

my 87 mustang gt stays at like a constant 2000 rpms when i start it up. i checked the throttle body and its not that. Also for some reason i have to give it gas to start it up (its fuel injected). Any ideas what is going on???

sounds like your iac is giving you problems. next time it just keeps cranking smack the iac and then start it see if it starts after that.

also check the pcv valve , clean the cylinder screen out w cleaner. It causes a surge at idle on my car, cleaned and went away.
