Overheating problems, help pleaze!!
I'm new to this, and I really need some help. I have a 95 Mustang Gt, and my problem is, is that it is overheating very fast. I can start the car a drive down the street and the antifreeze will be coming out the overflow by the time i get back around the block, can anyone help?. I have changed the waterpump twice, and I've flushed the radiator. I look in the radiator and it doesn't look like the waterpump is pumping, but the waterpump is new. I've changed the thermostat, and i Know that that isn't the reason.
How can I tell if i've blown a head gasket, or could it be that I have an air bubble flowing though somewhere. I flushed the radiator and turned the heat on and all the antifreeze dropped down in the radiator as if it was a big air bubble, can someone please help, PLEASE, I'm tired of putting money into it, when it might be something simple!!

sounds like you probably have a bad radiator, how many miles do you have on your car? I had one go out on my 94gt around 140k. If you want to check for a blown head gasket, see if there is any rust or coolant in your tail pipes. Also pull your dipstick out and see what color the oil is. If its like a milky white, you have coolant in your oil. You can also check the coolant in your radiator and see if there is oil in it. Bad vibrations coming from the engine when you give it gas can also be a sign.

Do a pressure test on your system. you can rent them at your local parts spot for a few bux or even do it in there parken lot. put about 13lbs of pressure and c if it holds it. if it holds and you dont have a blown head gasket. when u flushed the system do u bleed air?

Take a small drill bit and drill hole in thermostat place hole at 12 0clock position. As cooling system is filled air will be expelled from engine. This may not be the fix you need but will eliminate the issue of air in engine.

I guess I will have to pressure test it. But like I said, when I ran it with the radiator top off, its like a lot of air in it, and it ran good for a while, but I forgot to put the clamp on, so I had to take the bottom hose off, and it started running hot again, my brother say he saw a small lit crack on the radiator, so I got to replace that too!

Mine was doing the same thing i cleaned my ac coil and radiator out with some simple green and put the radiator back in filled it up with coolant and been fine since dont take out the ac coil because then you have to vaccum and recharge the system given the car has ac put some simple green in a pump sprayer and spray it in let soak for 10-15 minutes rinse with a garden hose really good and put back in car refill coolant and see what happens. You can use coil cleaner but it is very easy to ruin all kinds of things with coil cleaner if you dont know exactly what you are doing and the simple green will work almost as good without the danger of hurting the car.
