Default Alt Pulley

Having a pain of a time trying to remove the alt pulley and fan from my friends alt. Mine was a simple pop on pop off. Any suggestions?

ended up hitting it with a hammer, smashed my thumb, then took a circle bit and drilled it out

oh wait. does that screw on to the stud? that would explain the hex center.
