From your posts it seems like this is your first time under the hood. Air silencer is in your fender well. It is a plastic 'box' of sorts to keep the engine quiet. Under the front of the car in front of the passenger wheel and look up. That is the silencer (if it is there). It is bolted down by 2-4 bolts from the inside the engine compartment. So you need to remove the stock air box to get to the bolts.

No Mustang comes stock with a K&N filter and by silencer are you talking about the inlet tube in the fender.

It is internally the same as the Cobra intake with larger runners than the stock intake. It works fine on the P heads and Non P heads.

Here is a comparison of the two intakes.

Here it is installed

You will need a MAF calibrated for 24lb injectors or it won't run right.

can you get factory 24lb injectors? the ones i got with the intake are factory ford ones.
and also I have the throttle body on the intake form the explorer can you use that one or can you use the one off your
stock intake? the one that came from the explorer is a little diffrent.
